Jesus at the Last Supper

Finding Christ in the Old Testament

"And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, [Jesus] interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself"(Luke 24:27)

We don't know what our Lord taught the disciples on the road to Emmaus,  but we do know that the Old Testament prepares God's people for Christ's coming. This bible study trains our mind to read the Old Testament with Jesus in mind.

God Fulfills the Events of the Old Testament in Christ

The Catechism of the Catholic Church instructs the faithful to read Scripture with attentiveness to how God fulfills the events of the Old Testament in Christ.  Reading Scripture this way reveals the unity of God's plan and the wisdom of his saving work.

The New Testament is Hidden in the Old

Each Lenten reflection begins with the Old and explains how Christ fulfills this in the New. In each daily reflection we will train our children how to read the Old Testament looking for Christ.
